Every Piece is Made to Order

Cultured Freshwater Pearls

At Emmrelle, we take pride in crafting jewellery that combines exceptional quality, thoughtful design, and everyday wearability. Our choice of materials, from lustrous pearls to durable gold-filled and sterling silver, ensures that each piece offers lasting beauty, comfort, and value.

Below, you’ll find more about the materials that make Emmrelle jewellery so special

Pearls

Pearls are at the heart of most of our designs. They are timeless, feminine, and full of quiet strength.

We work exclusively with genuine, oyster-formed freshwater pearls, cultured with care and selected for their high lustre, surface quality, and durability. These pearls are sourced from trusted suppliers in Asia and are never synthetic or imitation.

Where applicable, our round pearls are AAA graded, while our baroque pearls, known for their organic, irregular shapes, are hand-selected for their radiant glow and unique charm.

Each pearl carries its own natural character. No two are ever the same, which makes your piece one-of-a-kind. They’re naturally imperfect, quietly elegant, and incredibly resilient, meant to be worn, loved, and passed down.

At Emmrelle, we value the integrity of natural pearls. While some pearls in the jewellery industry are dyed or treated to alter their colour, we prioritise pearls that have either been left untreated or only gently enhanced using industry-standard, non-invasive techniques to maintain their authentic beauty and longevity.

Pearls have also long been associated with emotional balance, confidence, and calming energy, a beautiful blend of aesthetic and symbolic value that makes them more than just adornment.

14k Gold-Filled

Gold-filled jewellery offers the luxurious look of solid gold with enhanced durability and affordability. Unlike gold-plated pieces, gold-filled jewellery features a thick layer of solid gold bonded to a high-quality base metal using heat and pressure, over 100 times thicker than standard plating.

Gold-filled pieces are also hypoallergenic, making them a great option for those with sensitive skin.

The result is lasting brilliance, skin-friendly wear, and long-term durability, ideal for timeless style without the price tag of solid gold.

Sterling Silver

Sterling silver is a timeless choice, known for its brilliant white shine and strength. Made of 92.5% pure silver, it strikes the perfect balance between beauty and durability.

It complements both everyday and special occasions, is hypoallergenic and gentle on sensitive skin, and requires low maintenance, any tarnish can be easily polished away to restore its shine.

Sterling silver is a classic for those who love understated elegance with lasting quality.

At Emmrelle, our materials are thoughtfully chosen to reflect your style and stand the test of time. Whether you’re drawn to the quiet glow of a pearl or the rich warmth of gold, you can wear each piece with confidence, knowing it’s made to be cherished.

Certificate of Authenticity

At Emmrelle, we take pride in crafting timeless pearl jewelry with genuine, high-quality pearls set in 925 sterling silver or 14k Gold Filled. Every piece is carefully selected, ethically sourced, and rigorously tested for authenticity, luster, and durability.

To ensure your confidence in every purchase, all our jewelry comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, guaranteeing its quality and craftsmanship.

Experience the elegance of real pearls, beautifully made to last.

Inclusive Sizes

Find your perfect fit, whether you love a close choker, a flowing bracelet, or a stackable ring.

At Emmrelle, we believe everyone deserves jewellery that fits beautifully. That’s why our pieces come in a wide range of sizes to suit all body proportions and personal styles.

Use this guide to measure yourself and find your ideal size for necklaces, bracelets, and rings.

Necklace Sizing

All adjustable necklaces come with a 2″ (5 cm) extension chain. This helps you choose where it sits on your neck.

However, our toggle necklaces have fixed-length, offering a sleeker, tailored look, so it’s especially important to choose your size with care.

These are our curated, inclusive necklace sizes (+ 2-inch / 5 cm extension for the adjustable necklaces):

12 inches (30 cm)
14 inches (35 cm)
16 inches (40 cm)
18 inches (45 cm)
20 inches (50 cm)
22 inches (55 cm)
24 inches (60 cm)

For our longline designs, we’ve also added sizes up to 30 inches (75 cm) to give you that elegant, elongated silhouette.

How to Choose Your Necklace Size

Step 1: Measure Your Neck

Wrap a soft measuring tape (or string) gently around your neck where you’d like the necklace to sit. Don’t pull too tight.
If you’re using string, mark the spot, then measure it with a ruler.

Step 2: Choose Your Preferred Fit Style

Do you prefer a snug collar, a classic choker, or something longer that layers gracefully over your outfit?

Step 3: Use the Size Charts to find the perfect size for your desired look

Match your neck measurement  and preferred fit style to the closest size in the chart below.

If you're between sizes, size up for comfort.

Bracelets and Bangles Sizing

How to Choose Your Bracelet Size

Step 1: Measure Your Wrist

Wrap a measuring tape or string around your wrist just above the wrist bone (where a bracelet would normally sit).

If you’re using a string, mark the spot and measure it flat.

Step 2: Use the Size Charts to find the perfect size

All Emmrelle bracelets come with a 1″ (2.5 cm) extender so you can adjust the fit, whether you like a snug or relaxed look.

How to Choose Your Bangle Size

Our bangles have a unique sizing system as they are rigid and non-adjustable.

To find your perfect bangle size, you’ll want to measure the widest part of your hand, not your wrist, since the bangle has to slide over it.

Here’s how to do it with just a string or measuring tape:

  1. Bring your fingers together like you’re about to slip on a bangle.
  2. Wrap a string or flexible tape around the widest part of your hand (usually around the knuckles).
  3. Mark where the ends meet.
  4. Lay the string flat and measure it with a ruler.

Add about 1.5 to 2 cm (0.6 to 0.8 inches) to this measurement for comfort. This final number is your ideal bangle circumference.

Pearl Ring Sizing

Our rings are available in standard UK sizes, ranging from D to Z, so you can find your perfect fit whether you wear dainty pinky rings or bold statement pieces.

Use the guide below to find your ideal ring size.

Tips for Measuring Your Ring Size:

  • Temperature can affect ring size, so it's best to measure at the end of the day when your fingers are at their largest.
  • Choose a size that feels secure on your finger but can still slide over your knuckle comfortably.

How to Find Your Ring Size

Step 1: Find your finger measurement

Use a Ring You Already Own

Pick a ring that fits the finger you want to size. Measure the inside diameter (side to side) across the center of the ring.

Or, Use Paper or String

Wrap a strip of paper or string around the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps and measure the length.

Step 2: Match the measurement to the chart below

or match your known US/EU ring size to the UK size.

Why our Customers trust us to elevate their elegance with timeless, heirloom-quality Pearl Jewelry. And why you should too:

You’ve Got Questions, We’ve Got Answers!

How are pearls graded?

Pearls are graded based on several key factors:

Luster: The shine and reflectivity of the pearl’s surface. The higher the luster, the more valuable the pearl.

Surface Quality: Pearls with fewer blemishes or imperfections are considered higher quality.

Shape: Round pearls are the most valuable, but other shapes like oval, drop, and baroque are also popular.

Size: Larger pearls are generally more valuable.

Color: Pearls come in a wide range of colors, with white, black, pink, and gold being the most common.

Nacre Thickness: The thickness of the nacre (the pearl’s coating) impacts its durability and shine.

How do I care for my pearl jewelry?

Pearls are delicate and require proper care to maintain their beauty. Here are some essential tips:

Keep pearls away from harsh chemicals, including perfumes, lotions, and hairsprays, as they can damage the pearl’s surface.

Clean pearls gently with a soft cloth after each wear to remove oils and dirt.

Store pearls in a soft pouch or a lined jewelry box to avoid scratches.

Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or extreme temperatures as this can cause the pearls to lose their luster.

Wear them often! Natural oils from your skin can actually enhance the pearl's shine.

Are pearls safe for my (sensitive) skin?

Yes! Pearls are naturally hypoallergenic. They don't contain any metals or alloys that typically cause allergic reactions, making them a safe choice for people with sensitive skin.

How do I choose the right pearl necklace for me?

Choosing the perfect pearl necklace depends on your personal style, the occasion, and your body type. Here are a few tips:

For a timeless, classic look, opt for a single-strand round or oval pearl necklace.

For a modern, chic vibe, try a longer necklace with multiple strands or a unique, baroque-style piece.

Consider your neckline: A choker or collar-style necklace pairs beautifully with strapless or off-shoulder tops, while longer strands are ideal for high-neck designs or dresses.

Personal preference: If you prefer a bit of color, explore Tahitian or South Sea pearls for something more exotic.

How can I tell if my pearls are of good quality?

The quality of pearls can be determined by examining their luster, surface, shape, size, and color.

High-quality pearls will have:

  • A bright, reflective shine (luster).
  • Few or no visible blemishes (surface quality).
  • A round, symmetrical shape (or a shape that fits your personal style).
  • A deep, rich color that enhances your complexion.

If you're buying pearls from a reputable jeweler or brand, they should provide you with a grading report or certificate verifying the quality of the pearls.

Do pearls come in different colors?

Yes, pearls come in a stunning variety of colors, including:

White/Ivory: The classic pearl color, often associated with purity and elegance.

Black: Tahitian pearls often come in shades of black, with overtones of green, blue, or purple.

Pink: Freshwater pearls are commonly available in shades of pink, from soft pastel pinks to vibrant fuchsias.

Golden: South Sea pearls can be found in a warm golden hue.

Lavender: Some pearls, particularly freshwater, come in a soft lavender or silver shade.

The color of a pearl depends on the type of mollusk, the water conditions, and the environment in which it was cultivated.

What is the best occasion to wear pearl jewelry?

Pearl jewelry is incredibly versatile and can be worn for almost any occasion:

Formal events: Pearls are a classic choice for weddings, galas, and other formal events, exuding elegance and sophistication.

Everyday wear: A simple pair of pearl studs or a delicate pendant can elevate your daily outfit, making them perfect for work or casual outings.

Special occasions: Birthdays, anniversaries, or a night out with loved ones, pearls add a touch of timeless beauty.

How do I know what size pearl bracelet to buy?

To determine the right size, measure your wrist circumference and add 1-2 inches for comfort and to ensure it fits loosely but comfortably. Emmrelle pearl bracelets come in 4 lengths with extension chain for adjustability, but custom sizes can be requested for a perfect fit.

Can I wear pearl jewelry in the shower or when swimming?

It’s best to avoid wearing pearls in the shower or while swimming. The chemicals in soaps, shampoos, and pools can damage the delicate surface of pearls, affecting their shine. Always remove your pearl jewelry before water activities to keep them looking their best.

What is the best way to store my pearl jewelry?

To protect your pearls, store them in a soft cloth pouch or a lined jewelry box. Avoid placing them in plastic bags or airtight containers, as they need to "breathe" to maintain their natural luster. Keep them away from other jewelry to prevent scratches or abrasions.

Are pearl earrings suitable for sensitive ears?

Yes! Pearls themselves are naturally hypoallergenic and safe for sensitive skin.

In fact, pearls are traditionally believed to have skin healing properties along with emotional and hormonal benefits to the human body. If you have sensitive ears, it's essential to ensure the earrings posts are made from hypoallergenic materials that are safe for sensitive skin as well, like sterling silver, gold or gold filled, platinum, or surgical steel to avoid irritation.

Can I resize a pearl ring?

Resizing a pearl ring is possible, but it depends on the design. If the pearl is set in a fixed position, resizing may be challenging. It's always best to have the ring custom-made or professionally sized to ensure the pearl remains intact and secure.

Better yet, for any pearl jewellery that you get from Emmrelle, resizing is possible. Just contact us, and we’ll simply agree on a few things and do the resizing for you.

Are your pearls sustainably sourced?

At Emmrelle, we are committed to sustainability. We work only with trusted suppliers who follow ethical sourcing practices, ensuring that our pearls are acquired in a way that protects both the environment and the mollusks. We also prioritize eco-friendly packaging to minimize our carbon footprint.

Are pearls cruelty-free?

Yes! We only work with suppliers who follow humane practices to ensure the well-being of the mollusks and the environment from which the pearls are sourced.

Is pearl jewelry a good investment?

Pearl jewelry can be an excellent investment, especially when you choose high-quality pearls from reputable sources. While pearls may not increase in value as dramatically as other gemstones, they maintain a timeless appeal that can retain or even increase in value over time. Quality pearls, particularly rare types like South Sea or Tahitian pearls, can become heirlooms passed down through generations.

How much should I expect to pay for high-quality pearl jewelry?

The price of pearl jewelry varies depending on factors like type, size, luster, and overall craftsmanship. Freshwater pearls are generally more affordable. On average, you can expect to pay anywhere from £100 to £10,000 or more, depending on the specific piece and quality of the pearls.
